Activities:
On Thursday we went to the wood chopping place, where we had to sweep the floors. We were very early and just hung around for the rest of the day. I was left alone with 3 of the clients, and we sat there, chatted, listened to music and had some coffee. Then Morten came and took us sightseeing, to see which trees needed to be cut on Monday.
On Friday, we went to the same place, where we mopped the same floors we had swept the day before. They put all the 3 women on doing that, and the ment were doing other stuff. Again, we were done early, then we went to the Slavation Army, where they served us food (they do that once a month), and then back at the centre, where we had waffles. While having lunch, Borbre asked if we believed in God.
Personal impressions:
On Thursday, I thought it wasn't a good practice to leave an intern alone with 3 of the clients, especially when they're all men with drug addictions/mental problems/ex convincts and she is a woman. But I can't say I was really afraid for anything.
On Friday, at the salvation army, I saw a lot of weird people, and I also notice more and more of them on the streets. The waffles were nice, and it's nice that it happens every Friday. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. I didn't understand why Borbre asked if we believed in God, that question was so out of the blue, out of space and out of circumstance. Maybe there was a point to it, but I can't tell.
